**REQUIREMENTS FOR BEING A QUALIFIED SMALL BOAT ASKIPPER AT CAMANO SAIL AND POWER, LLC.
  A Camano Sail and Power/US SAILING  OPEN SAILING CARD is proof that the sailor is qualified to skipper a small (dinghy) sailboat.  This qualification can be met in one of three ways.
        1.     Presenting a current US SAILING small boat qualification card or "Little Red Book" signed by any US SAILING small boat instructor.
        2.     Challenging the small boat qualification curriculum by demonstrating an ability to competently sail, including capsize and recovery, a small dinghy sailboat, and by passing a basic small boat multiple choice take-home exam.
        3.     Successfully completing the Camano Sail and Power Learn to Sail Small Sailboat course.  
WHO ELSE CAN SAIL WITH A QUALIFIED SMALL BOAT SKIPPER?
    Any person who has all of the appropriate paperwork on file, who wears a wet suit and booties, and who has successfully completed the float/swim test may sail as crew in a rental boat with a qualified skipper.

SMALL BOAT RENTAL PRICES (rentals only available to US SAILING certified skippers):

Walker Bay 8           (max capacity of one adult and one child)

$8/HOUR         

$25/HALF-DAY, 4 HOURS, SAVE $7.

$60DAY/8 HOURS, SAVE $20

LASER    (max capacity of about 250 pounds, whether one or two people)

          $12/HOUR

          $ 40/ HALF-DAY/4 HOURS, SAVE $8

          $ 80/DAY/8 HOURS, SAVE $16

Laser II                 (max capacity of two persons)

          $15/HOUR

          $50/ HALF-DAY/4 HOURS, SAVE $10

          $90/DAY/8 HOURS, SAVE $30

note 1:  all rentals are minimum 2 hours; time begins when you launch and stops when you pull the boat out on your return.

note 2:  the half-day rate will apply for the entire day of use on all  regatta days if used in the regatta

          Platinum Card:  $500/year, individual:

                                     $150/year for each additional family member

                    Small boats:  Unlimited card: free use of any small boats, free

                                           small boat classes and specialty clinics

                    J-24 and Hobie 33 keelboats and She Oughter motorboat

                              20% discount on rentals, lessons and specialty clinics

 

          Gold card:  $300/year, individual

                              $100/year for each additional  immediate family member

Small boats:  50% off on all small boat rental, lessons and specialty

                       clinics                      

                    J-24 and Hobie 33 keelboats and She Oughter motorboat

                              15% off on rentals, lessons and specialty clinics

                   

          Silver Card:  $200/year, individual**

                                $75/year for each additional immediate family member.

                    Small boats:  40% off on all small boat rental, lesson and specialty

                                            clinics.
